Use room temperature eggs, remove from fridge 30 mins in advance.
Bring water to gentle boil, about 5cm deep, to just cover the eggs. Dont use a bigger pan than necessary.
Then gently lower eggs into water on a large spoon, dont drop them.
4.5 mins for runny yolk
5.5 if you are scared of any uncooked white.
